I agree she is put out cause she could see the $$$ she has lost!! My mother who has not totally embraced this natural journey I'm own...did say that she loved what we were doing to the black hair stylist!!

She was a licensed beautician for over 40 years in a white salon. She said she couldn't understand why black salons over-booked their clients or why the wait was so long!!!

I love your hair...its lookin good!!!

Nothing special today, Still cowashing at night with HEHH, and sealing with oils. This morning sprayed her with water and put a mixture of HEHH and HETT sealed and out the door. PS, this grey is coming in like crazy. Apart of me wants to cover it and another part of me wants to say shine, shine, shine!

well i had been searching high and low for some ecostyler gel & I found some so I jumped on it & I forgot I had recently ordered some Aloe Vera gel, I'm more than likely going to split everything with my mom, but I haven't quite figured out what to do with the aloe vera gel. lol

Morning Rose!

Good morning, I am haing a really challenging morning. Not with my hair but the fact that it is my moms birthday. She has been deceased for 12 years and it is still hard to get thru days like today without crying. I miss her like crazy, she was taken too soon from me but who am i to question why.

I thank God for giving her to me for the 22 years that he did, and believe me they were great years. I miss her the most now that i am 34 and i have some grown folk questions to ask her (LOL). Just want to say i love you mom (Gloria) and you are missed. MMMMMWAH.

Just checking up on you. I retract what I said about letting the gray shine. It's totally up to you. I read through the post so quickly when I'm at work that I don't think I realized you were referring to gray hair. I'm sorry, I missed that. you do what is comfortable for you. I color my hair. Feel I'm too young for the gray. My doctor told me to leave it, says he thought it was sexy. LOL! He's a trip.

Anyway, my mom lost her mom at 16 and is now in her 50's. She says the same thing you said about missing her. I'll keep you in my prayers and send a hug your way. That's a small thing but just want to keep you encouraged.

Hey RoseBud! Have you thought about doing the henna for color, if you wanted to color the gray? I am sure that your mom is smiling down at you and proud of her daughter. I hope you have a beautiful rest of the day.

I'm trying to hold the tears back but it's pretty hard!!! I'll definitely be praying for your continued strength Rose because I can't imagine loosing a parent so I hope you stay encouraged!!!!! Like Mel said, I know she is so proud of you!

Morning Yvette, Just got done catching up on your post. Grays, shmays!!!!! Let'em alone and you'll grow to love'em. But this is coming from someone with none.....Not much help huh? When it come to your mom, try and remember what a wonderful job she did with the time she had with you. Because of her, there is another beautiful TWA sister walking the earth spreading her shine through her smile. Although you miss her, continue to celebrate her.
