♥ tiashauntee ♥- I NEED some fashion help

One week after doing my initial black tea rinse I noticed this weekend that I did have less shedding. I had some - but not as much as usual. I don't think my hair has gotten any darker - I still see those blasted grays.

Last night I did my second black rinse (2 more to go). This time I let the tea steep for almost 24hrs before the rinse. After I rinsed I let the tea sit on my head for 20mins and then I DC'ed with HE HH for 30 more mins. I rinsed, detangled, and set my hair in about 8 plaits that I removed for a braid-out this morning.

This morning I used a banana clip to gather the top half of my hair in a fluffy pony. Tonight I will bun. This weekend was too do anything that takes more than 20mins

What is the benefit of pre-pooing? And do you use shampoo with or without sulfates?

Prepooing helps protect the hair from the stripping and harsh ingredients in shampoos. I pay special attention to the ends of my hair when prepooing because they are the oldest.

The shampoo that I am currently using is Suave Humectant. I think it has sulfates - that is something (just like cones) that I don't rely on for product choosing. I tried it once and didn't notice a difference in my hair's response.
