Thanks for the complement! I really love your hair color very pretty!! did you color your hair yourself??

Hee well its naturally dark brown, but it looks sandy brown/ redish in the sunlight. So i take pictures either outside or really close to a light blub with my camera on flash. *Curlyboricua* - Page 3 Lol Same with my eyes, they are really really REALLY dark, im just know some camera tricks lol.

Nice one Cherry a true diva knows how to find her light and work it (Mr. Jay and Ms. Jay voice) *Curlyboricua* - Page 3 Icon_cool

Check out ChrsLvsBks BnB thread. She uses henna and indigo. You can also ask this question in the Henna section....there is more "traffic" over there.

I love using henna and indigo. I indigo to rid my grays of the copper look from the henna and to darken my hair--love dark hair. It is a long process but well worth it for me. While I can find henna in my local Indian grocers, I have not found any indigo. I purchase mine fromy Ayurnaturalbeauty. Her shipping time is fast, and her pricing is reasonable. You can find pictures of my henna and indigo experiences in my fotki.

*Curlyboricua* - Page 3 Empty THANKS

Post by curlyboricua 3rd March 2010, 11:56 am

Hola Chicas!! *Curlyboricua* - Page 3 Icon_biggrin

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on my Henna situation. When I got off from work yesturday I had to go to Walgreens for a couple of things that then same out with Suave Conditioner the Coconut kind... So I decided that I was going to leave it in my hair and sit under the drier for about 10 min and my hair came out so soft. OMG.... I couldn't stop putting my fingures through it. Then I did my usual which was put shea butter on followed by my Argan Oil t seal and then let it air dry 90% and then I through it in a high pony and placed a scarf around my edges. Oh yeah I can't forget about my MIXED CHICKS leave-in... (love love love it). I switch it up sometimes though. :-)

I have come to realize I am turning into a product junky. ugh... I need to use everything I have and then buy more but it is so hard to do. lol. So many products. lol... anyways I hope everyone is haveing a blessed day.

@BlondeByDesire

There should be a group called the PJA (Product Junkie Anonymous)... lol

Hello Everyone!! I hope that everyone is having a very blessed morning bc I am. Well.. lately I haven't been doing much to my hair except for pulling my curly hair up in a messy bun and leaving it at that. I plan to do a twist out but I think I am going to do that Sat. night so I can wear it for the church the next morning. Well that is pretty much it. Nothing new ladies.

Switch subject a little... I am potty training my 2 year old and it is not joke.. sometimes he loves to potty train and other days he is just plain lazy and doesn't feel like going... Does anyone have any advice for me on this potty training bc he needs it ASAP... lol

Hello ladies I haven't done anything new lately to my hair but I am contemplating on when I am going to do my Henna Treatment.. I think I might just do it tomorrow since I will be home all day. I will keep everyone updated though. I just wanted to tell all the ladies on here that I am so excited that I found this forum because ALL you beautiful women have been lots of help in my journey. My main goal is to grow strong healthy hair to about my mid back. That is my goal... but main goal is to keep hair healthy.

HHJ LADIES!!

Post by curlyboricua 9th March 2010, 2:27 pm

Hola Ladies!!

I hope that everyone had a very blessed weekend mine was pretty blessed. :-)... So yeah last night I did a conditioner wash and added my usual products and then let my hair air dry. Now usually I put my hair in a high pony at that time but I was a little lazy so I just slept on my satin pillow case with no hair scarf on my head. My hair still turned out good. I just twisted my hair back on one side and the left the other side out. Tonight I plan to do my twist and take out in the morning. I will post tonight. :-) but for now here is my pic for today.

It turned out cute. If I went to bed after washing my hair without twisting it, I would be asking for trouble....tangled and matted.

*Curlyboricua* - Page 3 A8b8e810Ladies I finally did my Henna Treatment.... I was so scared but I finally did it. I did it yesturday bc I had tons of free time. What I did was buy my henna from the butters-n-bars website... 100 grams of Jamila '09 BAQ Henna
100 grams of hibiscus flower.. It cam with a box of Alma powder. So I mixed it all up and left it in my hair for about 6 hrs... Here are somepics of how my hair turned out... I don't know if u can tell bc the lighting is bad. I will have to take more later...but I really love it. it is really subtle.
