ZUMBA CLASSES Empty ZUMBA CLASSES

Post by Intelligentbeauty 2nd February 2010, 4:10 am

I took my first zumba class last week. Ok, my body was aching afterwards. It is a high energy afro-brazilian fitness dance. I was shocked that I was having a hard time keeping up. Ridiculous. Has anyone else done Zumba? What is your experience?

For the past two weeks I was supposed to go to Zumba but week 1 I was sick and this week the weather was to bad (icy roads). I am looking forward to going.

We have a Zumba instructor on here, I don't know where she has been hiding......

Hi Ladies I think the CN Zumba trainer's name is curlytrainer. She is in the DC area and was at our Meet up.

I plan to take her class soon.

We do not have classes over here yet, but I bought the dvds lately and do zumba at home. Love it. The Instructions and steps are quite easy to follow after a few times practicing and it really does not feel like working out like they say. I recognized one day after my first zumba lesson that my body has worked hard. I could hardly climb the stairs and felt sore, but in a good way [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I finally stopped being sore yesterday. I think I am going to do Pilates during the week with Zumba on Mondays. That should get me toned up.

I love Zumba! Sadly I can only go once a week, but I have fun while I'm there. I love to dance and back in the day (lol, I'm only 27) I used to tear the club up! Now I can do that for fitness. Yay!

I'm loving Zumba too! I started taking it in early February/late January timeframe. I can't dance to save my life, but I feel like a superstar in that class! And, I don't feel like I'm working out.

I'm trying to go 2-3 times a week for cardio.

You know, I've been thinking about becoming an instructor as well. A certification class is coming to my city in about a month or so...

I went to my first class today. I will return next week. I really enjoyed it. I went with a younger co-worker, and she enjoyed it also.

It may become a part of my exercise routine. Too bad it is only offered in the evenings once a week.

I'm new here but when I saw this topic I had to post Smile I LOOOOVE Zumba! I took it once a few year back and even as a dancer it was hard to keep up with. I loved it but I could never find any classes close to me so I quit. Boooo for me I know... Anyhoo, my sister became a certified instructor so I have been getting my booty into her classes for the past few months... for $free.99! She has also recently developed a class called Island Vibe, which is just like Zumba only to soca, reggae and calypso music. I get in there and basically wine away the pounds lol.
