Challenge # 3: Jumping Jacks
Hey Curlies!
Let's get our heart rates pumping with a JUMPING JACKS challenge this week! Jumping jacks make you breathe faster and get your blood pumping, all of which increases oxygen in your body. It's also said to be a good strength training exercise.
So let's get moving with 50-100 jumping jacks each day. Post how many you were able to accomplish each day, whether you broke them up in sets or went for the gusto, and any tips for controlling your "girls" while doing them.
Good luck this week!

Re: Challenge # 3: Jumping Jacks
I did 100 JJs today. I thought of only doing 50 to be honest, but when I started I was barely winded by JJ #50 then so I kept going. By JJ #80 I was like come on 100. I felt good though!

Thanks for posting cocacolacutie.
LuvMeLuvMyFro, what a great way to help others recognize the need for exercise especially our children.

Yes they are, I always wear heels. I almost backed out once I thought about the fact that I had on heels but I made it. I said I would bring some sneakers to work with me.
Re: Challenge # 3: Jumping Jacks

Re: Challenge # 3: Jumping Jacks
I did my 100 jumping jacks. I did two sets of 50.
I didnt want to do them because I have a headache. I sucked it up though. I think I am going through meat withdrawal. My church is fasting this month and for the rest of the month we are not eating meat. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Challenge # 3: Jumping Jacks
Glad to have you Lynnieluve. I was thinking of incorporating more raw food into my diet but I have read that a person has to go through detox. Hope your withdrawal doesn't last too long.
@3c, hoping children are doing better. Yeah for fitting into suit!
I did 60 today. I did 17 then 15 then 28. This challenge is difficult because of my girls but I am doing my best not to let them hinder me.

Re: Challenge # 3: Jumping Jacks
I did 50 jumping jacks last night...I meant to do 50 more before I got in the bed but that didn't happen.
I've had a busy day so I haven't done any for today yet. I'll play a game with the kids after I pick them up and see how many I can get done.

Re: Challenge # 3: Jumping Jacks
I am gonna have to catch you guys on the next challenge. I really hurt myself. My shoulders and neck are stiff.
I did make it to the gym this morning though. 45 mins on the elliptical = 400 calories burned!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Challenge # 3: Jumping Jacks
Welcome jamaicacurl! You can have your children do them with you.
Lynnieluve, I hope you feel better. Yay, for going to the gym this am.
I did two sets of 45 today. I didn't think I could do that many with a minute rest but I did. I hope to continue to do these at least three times a week while watching a television show.
I really need to get my eating in check. I would love to focus on nutrition next week. Any suggestions?
