LOL, I can be lazy too. It seemed like a lot, but it really wasn't that bad--just an extra step to what I was already doing. Also, when she explained to detangle before shampooing, I went "oh, that does make more sense." I think now that I have this down, I will poo more often. Just still trying to find a good one. I want to use the rest of what I have (Creme of Nature) before I buy another. Suggestions?
With Kimmay's hair routine, I honestly think the washing/detangling part is the most "complicated." Her hair is usually in protective styles, which I should be doing more of to get the growth I want.

So how long did it take for you to do your entire head?
I'm also on the hunt for a good shampoo. The one's I have get the job done but nothing makes me say "WOW." I do love my Dudu Osun Natural shampoo but I need a backup that is cheaper and easier to purchase

Um, with the whole process (instead of olive oil, I used reg condish, detangled, and rinsed) it took about 30-45 minutes to wash, only because my hair was pretty tangled from the week's worth of wash and go's...
I'm contemplating the Giovanni line soon (payday) or one of the 'poo's from Trader Joes... Or I may use my VS discount... they have a shampoo/conditioner for curly hair (something knew), and if I read correctly, the 'poo is sulfate free and the conditioner cone free ().... I'll keep you posted, whatever I buy...

Had I kept up with the refreshing, it could have lasted longer, but I was lazy Sunday, and just put it in a puff. But 3-day hair is awesome for me!!!!
And with no dryer, it took my hair about 5 hours to dry.... eh, it was 65 degrees today, so I didn't mind
Ooohh....I want that. I don't think I can wait any longer...*looking for some scissors* Why must you tempt me CurlieCutes1121...its not fair, LOL!

Re: The Flexirod Adventures!
Thanks ladies, and happy Monday!
My twists from Wednesday are still holding up!
I spray with water every day, seal in the moisture with shea/olive oil, retwist when needed and just go! My hair's feeling so soft and moist, and is thanking me for the low manipulation. Also, I get a LOT more questions about my hair when it's twisted.... hmmmmm, I don't get it?
What's new with you ladies? I'll go stalk your threads and see!

Hmmmm.... maybe you're right... It sure has been feeling awesome though, I'll tell you that!
Happy Tuesday curlies!!!
Co-washed the twists this morning with Suave, paying more attention to my scalp than anything (a little bit itchy). Afterwards, I sealed with Evoo/peppermint shea and retwisted some of the fuzzies. Massaged my scalp with the peppermint shea, and the itchies are GONE!!! And I was seriously going to 'poo tomorrow! Still may, since I want to henna and get rid of any left over build-up. But these six day old twists are looking awesome, so I may still wait.....
Oh, and a convo at work yesterday while I was on register:
"How'd you get your hair like that?"
"Oh, my hair's naturally curly! It's just in twists."
"How do you keep them so soft?"
"Water, olive oil, and shea butter in that order."
"That's it? Wow, you must have that good hair."
"Because of my products? Girl do you have a relaxer?"
"Yes. Why?"
"Well, then sweetie you have great, fabulous hair. You're just hiding it under the creamy crack."
Not sure when I got so bold, just the good hair remark annoyed me. She took it pretty well, though. Plus her boyfriend had locks and was in total agreement with me. He told his GF "see babe, I've been telling you to grow out your relaxer. Look at the life in her hair--that could be you!"

Here's what I did different (which, I think attributed to their staying power).
1. Used Suave as my leave in instead of HE (starting to think its great for detangling, but my hair is just not feeling the cones in it). Also, not too much either (only a quarter size amount for my entire head).
2. Used less styling product (my hair is fine, and I've realized too much of a good thing is just bad for my tressses).
3. I co-washed the twists twice in that week, but in between that I would spritz them with water everyday and seal with EVOO/shea. Then, while they were damp and malleable, I would retwist whatever was fuzzy.

Re: The Flexirod Adventures!
Happy Thursday!
So, I took the twists down yesterday and had the best twistout EVER!!!! But of course, I forgot to take pics for you all to see.... but take my word for it!
I was due for a wash, so I shampooed last night using Kimmaytube's buffering method. I must say I will continue this and shampoo weekly. My hair clean feels so light and airy and looks awesome! Did a braidout today, and it looks fabulous! Will post pics when I get home. My hair is feeling towel out the dryer soft (according to hubby anyway, but I agree). I keep playing with it, and it's nice and full!!!!!
Yesterday I bought some African herbal oil from Walmart for $2. I really like it, and since I used it yesterday I'm wondering if it has played a part in my hair's softness today.
I also made a shopping list for tomorrow (aka payday!)
From Walmart, I want:
1. More Suave conditioner
2. Aloe Vera Gel (want to see if I'll like that better than the ORS)
3. Giovanni Direct leave in
4. Giovanni SAS shampoo and conditioner
GNC
1. Lemon and Peppermint EO (their BOGO 1/2 off!)
2. Sweet Almond oil--does anyone use this? What are the benefits, or will I just have to satisfy my own curiousity and find out?
Anyway, have a great day ladies!

Re: The Flexirod Adventures!
You should try to get the Giovanni products from Marshall's (if you have one there). You would get so much more for your money. I saw the one's in Walmart and laughed at the size.
