Aveda Be Curly Empty Aveda Be Curly

Post by quincie1479 3rd January 2010, 1:10 am

Hey ladies,

After much hesitation I finally tried Be Curly by Aveda. The product cost $18.00 for a 6.7oz bottle. I tried the product in 2 "sample" areas (bang area and nape of neck) and I must say at this moment...not impressed. Had increased skrinage and a bit of crunchiness. Im going to try it again and hope for great results. Has anyone else tried this product?

I haven't tried it, but was curious to go in the Aveda store the other day to see what kinds of curly products they had! One of my old co-workers used to use Aveda products on her hair and she's been a curly girl all her life, and she swears that it was one of the best products you could ever have! So I don't know...may have to give her a call and see which of the Aveda products did she use!

I've actually tried it before and I didn't like it too much. It seemed to weigh down my hair and leave a sort of film on it, then again I used it when I did not really know how to work it thru my hair. I might revisit it when I have money to splurge because their products are also very expensive.

I haven't tried it, but from what I've seen and heard its very similar to Mixed Chicks. I was told by a reseller who sells both and KCCC that if I didn't like MC then I would like Aveda Be Curly and I should stick with KCCC.

Here is one video that compared Aveda Be Curly with Mixed Chicks.

I tried it and it did absolutely nothing for my hair. I ended up giving it to my friend who it worked so well for and is the reason that I bought it initially.

Hey Ladies,

Thanks for all the info on Be Curly. My result is kinda what the masses are saying. It really doesnt do anything that I cant achieve with my conditioner and some gel.
