I don't know what to do with my short hair......PLEASE HELP

Ok,so I've been natural one week ago yesterday and I don't know what to do with my hair.My hair is still dry from time to time.and I'm still pretty lost with the whole natural hair thing. I'm tired of wearing my hair in the "baby fro" lol! what OTHER styles can I do????

At your current length, there really isnt much you can do (that I know) but add cute hair accessories and big earrings.

You're just going to need a little patience love...the more your hair grows the more things you'll be able to do with it. I bet your TWA is fierce and you don't even know it!

For dry hair, try adding a good moisturizer to your hair at night. You can use oils, butters, conditioner or combination of all to help with dryness. Apply at night and place a plastic cap/bag over your head. In the morning you can add a headband and go.

Be encouraged knowing your hair will not always be dry or short. From what I have seen, your growth in the first few months can be up to six inches. Check out the videos others have suggested and search for others on YouTube.

thanks ladies! I'll have more patience... @AfrikanLatina,no one out side of my house has seen my hair in person.so I really don't know how good my hair looks. I've already checked out MahoganyCurls's youtube vids,but I haven't checked out the others.I'll have to check it out in a min.

I love ChrsLvsBks suggestion. Your hair is very pretty. I think it's just a matter of getting to know your hair and what works best. You will be rocking and rolling your hair in no time. I agree with what the ladies said above. The best moisturizer I've found to be good for dry hair (which I have A LOT of) is water and shea butter. As far as styles go, I would suggest using a heavy butter like shea butter and coil random hair around your finger to create texture. That's what my stylist advised me to do when I initially bc'd. An example of this is in my avatar.

@eden,I tried that last night.but when I pulled the twist apart it truned into a curly mini bush lol...

I just BC'ed in August and after the 2nd month I had enough hair to "try" styles.

I agree with everyone else. When I first BC'd mine was short a tad bit longer than yours. In 2 months - it was long enough to have coils! Yours looks great and you are rocking it!

thanks naturalnixon and nylacoils! I think I was just bitter because I'm still getting used to my hair being like this.but I'm starting to get use to my hair.it even looks like it's growing since I've been usein the growth oil three times a week.

thanks so much Blackbutterfli and dajewel! the growth oil has it growing rather fast now.and this friday will be two weeks I've been natural,so I'm happy about that also. @Blackbutterfli,do you know if there's any natural hair stylist in the Arlington area? and are the ladies in the dallas area ever gonna meet up in arlington? dallas is still a long ways from me (plus I don't know the area).
