The GROWTH PROGRESS OF YOUR HAIR

What has been your experience with the growth progress of your hair?

1. Did your hair grow faster when you transitioned?
2. Did your hair grow slow during your transition?
3. Did your hair grow faster after you did your BC?

I transitions from Nov 08 till June 09 and it had a bit of growth but it really took off after I did my big chop. It was like my hair was happy to get rid of that relaxer...lol. If you are going to transition figure out of you want to be a long term or short term transitioner. I thought I wouldn't cut my hair till about this time, but once it started to grow I couldn't do those 2 textures on my head. Everyone is different. If you are considering it I wish you luck and say just be patient, do a lot of research, and don't be afraid to try various products. You will have to find what works for YOUR hair.

LOL, thank you. I know everyone has to find the right path for them, but my hair was excited to get rid of the relaxer...lol. I can't wait till I reach my Big Chop anniversary to see how long it will have gotten in a year.

You hair looks great!! What did you do to your hair and what produces did you use?

When I do my braid outs or twist outs I usually just use conditioner. I use to do the style on dry hair, but now I do it after I have co-washed my hair. I make sure to rinse all the conditioner out in the shower, cause I know I will be adding more. It also helps with my hairs natural shine. When I use to do the BO's or TO's on dry hair, my styles would look dry the next day although it would show more length. With the braid out I just did single braids throughout my head at night, slept with a satin bonnet, and in the morning un-did the braids and pulled uo the sides with bobbi pins. The first style TWA I was using cantu's moisturizing cream.
