isn't it the same thing silk i think is what we suppose to use but i thought silk and satin was the same thing ? no ?

I think either is fine. Both are smooth fabrics. I have a really hard time getting either to stay on my head at night. Anyway, check this link for the differences: http://www.differencebetween.net/object/difference-between-silk-and-satin/

I like satin better that silk. Silk seems to rip or "dissolve" when it is come in contact with oils and silk cannot stand up to the washing. Satin has more give and is more durable.
