I did another twistout and I LOVE the results. How do I sleep on it without messing it up?

When I try pineapple-ing my hair, it just makes it look dry and frizzy the next day. I'm probably doing it wrong.
The thing that works best for me is spraying my hands with jojoba oil and braiding my hair in medium sections. it doesn't mess up the curl pattern, it stretches the twist out and also keeps it from getting frizzy.

Oh, nevermind.....is your hair long enough to pineapple yet?? If not, then yeah, just use a bonnet and maybe refresh it with an oil in the morning.

My hair isn't long enough to classically pineapple lol. But I saw an article on mini pineapple-ing. I was going to try it last night BUT by the time it was time to go to bed I was too tired and I ended up throwing on a bonnet. It still looks good but I'll try pineapple-ing tomorrow. Smile

I use the "tiny" soft terry ponytail holders to make "mini-pineapples". You can find them at any BSS for approximately $1 for 30 holders, etc.

I purchase the dark colored ones to avoid lint. Don't want to look like I slept with the chickens...

I grab 4 or 5 little clumps on the crown of my head and loosly wrap the holder around it.

I sleep on a satin pillowcase with a satin bonnet or scarf.

I fluff with my fingertips in the am. It gives me a little crown height. My stuff is extremely coily and will sit down before the day is out...

well yeah it does. Typically pineappling is a high ponytail. You just bunch all the hair on tope of your head in a loose pontail and use a bonnet to cover. But yeah the mini ones will or should work the same for shorter hair. Very Happy
