Vitamins anyone? Empty Vitamins anyone?

Post by Pi*Jay 20th December 2010, 3:07 pm

Sooooo... I would like to incorporate vitamins into my daily routine. I have been thinking of taking a hair, skin, and nails vitamin to promote growth and retention, but maybe just a general multivitamin would be good just for overall health. I even recently heard of people taking prenatal vitamins for hair growth (who arent pregnant)... Any suggestions? What vitamins or multivitamins are you ladies taking?

I'm taking biotin; a centrum multivitamin, vitamin e and omega 3. (I know that's a lot. But, I have noticed a difference in skin and energy).

On a different post some ladies mentioned a weight loss after taking Biotin, (I have not had that experience).

The best vitamins for women in multiple bones, such as calcium and folic acid helps prevent birth defects, if they decide to get pregnant. Generally, women need a lot of things, such as iron because menstruation can lead to iron levels to drop. When iron is low, can cause problems such as low power consumption and a tendency to do evil.

I take GNC's Prenatal vitamins (not trying to get pregnant) b/c my nutritionist suggested them. The iron level is higher than in regular multivitamins and that is what I needed. I did notice there is Biotin in them also, so that contributes to hair growth.

I believe in good nutrition and vitamins. I use vitamins and not even for children. I think that you choose wisely - cooked like broccoli and low metal content of the raw vitamins, and the same is true for vitamin you choose

The human body needs food to provide energy for the whole process of life and repair, growth and maintenance of cells and tissues.A balanced diet contains a variety of foods in quantities and proportions, the need for energy, minerals, vitamins and other nutrients are adequately met and provided small increases in nutrients.

I take a centrum multivitamin, calcium/vitamin D, and fish oil for the omega 3s. My nails are growing nicely and strong, and my skin is very soft from the fish oil.

I took hair, skin, and nail vitamins and i mainly noticed an improvement in nail growth and eye lashes, not really hair on my head. I currently take GNCs chocolate vitamin shakes daily, I like the shakes better than pills because they go directly to the bloodstream instead taking longer to break down like pills.

Choose the right vitamin products are of critical importance. The best vitamin supplements for women should have a long and impressive record of product safety and proven effectiveness in addressing the main causes of aging, improving the overall health, balancing hormones naturally, minimizing menstrual discomfort, maintaining a healthy heart and circulatory system, and helping prevent woman’s common diseases such as breast cancer.
