Mineral oil vs sunflower oil vs coconut oil

I found this great article about the three main oils used in beauty products. I have been doing my oil rinses with sunflower oil. Maybe I will start using the coconut oil for my oil rinses too.

I'm glad to see that. Coconut is a staple in my regimen in the summer for sealing and night-time care of my wash n' go styles. I don't use it as much in the winter, but I can at least use it to pre-poo. Thanks.

I have been using the coconut oil for my twists when my hair is wet. I am going to have to go get some Parachut coconut oil from the asian grocery.

I've been reading recently how coconut oils penetrate the hair shaft, along with avocado oil. So I took my coconut cream concentrate, aloe vera juice, aloe vera gel, and castor oil to make my own hair milk. I tested it with my ph balance strips and added water until it got down to a 4 to 4.5 rating. My hair and body really likes it. I use it on wet hair and sometimes as a base under my moisturizer (mostly QB amla and olive heavy cream).

I've been doing this for a little over a week now and I think I will keep doing it for the next month or so. But so far i love how I know it's penetrating the hair shaft and making my hair healthier.
