Hey. I went to the site and I see that "NEW Lower Price!" is only listed on the Butters.
Re: Afroveda Hair Butters
Yeah just the butters which is what everyone was so up in roars about.

Y'all curlies dont play about your products. She must have really took a big hit. Did she add a new size? I see she offers a 2oz, 9.5 oz, and 17.5oz

Re: Afroveda Hair Butters
I'm sure thise stuff is the bomb but kinda hard for me to pay $6.50 for 2oz and $17.50 for 9.5 oz of the Shea Amla Whipped butter. 2oz???? That's only a 1/4 of a cup!!! LOL
Re: Afroveda Hair Butters
Lynnie...LOL....u notice I didn't even mention the 17.5 oz size. that's just way too much for me to even mention!!!!!!
Re: Afroveda Hair Butters
She did cause there was no 2oz. size.

It's still more expensive than it was earlier this year, though.

The ingredients in the products look pretty good... Can y'all enlighten me on how this has worked for you? I'm just curious in case I decide to purchase in the future...

It'll be interesting to see if the quality of the products is back to the way it used to be.

From AfroVeda:
Dear Valued Customer,
After AfroVeda's price increase of its hair butters, many calls and emails were received by customers, retailers and others with insight and recommendations on ways to provide their product to consumers at reduced prices. Marketing and financial professionals outside of the hair care industry reached out to assist AfroVeda with locating and securing contracts with wholesale vendors that would allow them to continue to use high-quality ingredients in their products, without the need of major pricing changes. As a result, AfroVeda's hair butters have experienced a decrease in production costs, and these savings are being passed on to you, the customer.
On behalf of AfroVeda, its owner and staff, we thank you for your patience and appreciate your continued support.
No More Instability
AfroVeda experienced some issues in the past with hair butters "seperating". This did not happen with every batch, but it did happen enough to take notice. The problem has been corrected by adding a vegetable-based co-emulsifier that ensures the stability of the hair butter formulas. Now, after 3 months of testing and numerous batches made, we are confident that the rich, thick formulas you once enjoyed will now remain a standard.

I have never used this product (not yet anyway) but it's cool that they let the customer know what the deal was!!! That's good business!
Re: Afroveda Hair Butters
very interesting....
I used her butters a few times but went back to my beloved Qhemet Biologics...
They did not do much for my hair...

OH CRAP!!!! . My PJism is getting the best of me and I'm thinking about ordering a value set of the four hair butters (2 oz each of Curl Define, CocoLatte Moisture Mask, Shea Amla Whipped Butter Cream and Totally Twisted Ginger Almond Butter). Can anyone tell me about texture/consistence of any of the products (thick, runny, creamy, watery, waxy, sticky, gummy, greasy) and if you can compare the texture/consistency to an over the counter product what would you compare it to? You can also tell me how it made youre hair feel/lay but I usually go by how the product feels when you rub it in between your fingers. How does it feel initially, after 30 sec, or after a min?

Don't be so quick to through a parade for Mala. The prices only dropped like $3. Plus she added cheap ingredients and it's not tested. Like I said before she is not consistent with her products and then slaps a price on it and calls it butter.
Plus what happened to her saying the state of the economy and the cost of raw materials are too high, WTH! Now all of a sudden she can afford to drop the prices by $3?
No thank you. Ya'll wanna test out the new stuff with the cheap untested crap in it, then more power to yah. I'll wait and still boycott some more and see what happens.

Don't forget what you are spending your hard earned money on, an unrealiable lying fradulent company with products that are not tested.

I ordered the curl define, totally twisted ginger and the pur whipped and they are just like my current stash that I purchased last April. The texure is thick creamy almost velvet like for the butters and creamy lotiony for the pur whipped. Others have complained about inconsistencies but I have not found that issue....just slow shipping (about 2weeks).

I just received my Ginger Almond Butter and a free sample of hair grown elixir. I can t wait to use it, any suggestions? I know i can use them to twist, but can it be used as a moisturizer/styler?

Re: Afroveda Hair Butters
This isn't a drop in price to me . Like makeupvixen stated its only $3. I used to use the Shea Amla and when I purchased it before her first price hike I paid $12.50 for the 9.5 oz. size. I'm sticking with Qhemets because I get more moisture from the AOHC.
