Preparing for a Big Chop...
I'm looking to go for the big chop next week and I am curious to know for those who went to a salon, did you go there with any idea of how you thought your hair should be shaped? Or did you just trust the hair stylist? I found a natural hair salon to go to. I've gone to her once already and she did a braidout that turned out really nice. But I don't know I'm just still getting a little bit nervous because I feel like I'm putting my hair in her hands (I know that sounds a bit dramatic lol). And I have no idea how good she is with cutting. I assume she's good, but yeah I'm just nervous. I have no idea how the cut will frame my face. I am 20 months post relaxer. Was planning on waiting till the 6 month mark, but I'm tired of transitioning. Any thoughts...

I hope everything turns out cool for you , i plan on cutting my perm ends in april and i think i'm going to do it my self than grow it out a bit more than get a cut to shape it ... i don't really plan on going to any salons throughout my journey unless i'm a straighten out my hair and that is gonna be STRESSFUL lol so i hope everything goes well for you

I love BCing, btw. I've done it too many times to count over the years. I always feel light and free. This is the first time, I'm actually going to go past TWA in about 20 years. I'm often tempted to BC again, but we'll see...
How many inches of natural hair do you have? That might determine your options.

@creolebeauty1 thanks! i'm keeping my fingers crossed lol.
@TLog77 honestly i don't even know for sure. i haven't measured it. im guessing maybe 1 1/2...maybe 2 inches.

OK. So you'll be rockin a cute, little TWA. Please post the pic. You have great cheekbones, so it'll look good on you.
My New Look!
So yesterday I finally went for it! And I love my TWA : ) I was a little worried about how big my head would look lol and I've never had short hair before, but it's not so bad.
