I Big Chopped :-)
So on December 7th, 2010, exactly 8 months to the day of my last relaxer, I was going through a regular routine of trimming my ends when I grabbed a strand, and snipped it...the rest is history! My entire household is natural now (I'm the last to take the journey...oh well lol).

I didn't know I wanted to go on the natural journey until July of this year. I usually went 8-10 weeks without a relaxer anyway, so it was no big deal for me to resist the temptation of a relaxer. But deep into month three without one, I hit a heavy stress...I actually bought a relaxer just so I could put it in myself. But THANK GOODNESS I didn't do it.
During the transition, I straightened with a flat iron, but seeing and feeling the natural texture after my deep conditioning regimen did me in. I knew sooner rather than later, I wanted to do the chop.
Like I said, one afternoon after my daily workouts, I came home to shower and wash my hair. I had recently had two-strand twists just to save me some time in the morning. I took the twists out, washed my hair, and in the midst of trimming my ends, started the chop...and I LOVE IT!

Any suggestions for styles are definitely welcome, as well as product suggestions too...I really want to loc, but I'm seeing the wonders of just letting it flow!
