Good Thursday morn dolls:

Well my hair is still underneath my black hat; however, this time I decided to do something good for my hair since it is under there. So I prepooed the night before with Vatika oil and will prepoo all day today. Hopefully, I will be able to cowash tonight and either DC overnight or DC and twist before work. We will see.....

So I called Devachan salon in NYC to ask some questions (this is the home of the founder of the CG method). It seems they have a special person for AA hair by the name of Jackie. I remember reading some good reviews about her on www.naturallycurly.com. But there is no appt available until beginning of March. The cost $140 includes cut, wash, style, how to style and use products in between salon visits (I will not using that option of in between visits). OK, so I tell me husband about the appt dating range and the cost. He says "Oh that is not far off at all." I ask him about the price. He said "the price is fine." I was shocked. He said I know you did your research so we will pick out a style and go together. I asked him if my dear friend could come along. He said "NO. She doesn't need to come along"....lol . So this weekend, we will sit down and talk more and I will probably end up booking an apointment for the 1st week in March.

Well it hasn't hit me yet that this is actually going to happen. I guess it will as time gets closer. I will try to post that relaxed hair pic I have today.

BTW, I tried that baking soda and lemon juice mix for whiter teeth for 1 week. That is a joke. So I am trying baking soda and ACV mix. It smells awful. But seems to have a little effect. We will see......

The blog talk will take place either on sat/sun bet 2-5pm. But we still have to narrow that down and confirm. So I will give you direct info either later today or tomorrow.

Baking Soda and ACV....interesting. I will keep checking in to get updates on your results. I use Listerine with the whitener in it and it really works. I know that it's not all natural...so may try the baking soda and ACV if you get good results with that.

I pre-poo'ed with Vatika oil about two weeks ago....I love the smell. Let me know how you like the results. Last week I pre-poo'ed with EVCO...like the results better.

What's AA hair? African American?

OMG, are you BC'ing early?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I thought you were doing it mid-March, but it seems like you're going to do it in a few weeks instead. That's so awesome! I kinda thought you might do it early (I was hoping you would). I can't wait!

Good morning dolls:

I am DCing under the black hat today. I washed out the Vatika oil with a little diluted Revlon detangler shampoo and cowashed with Suave coconut condish yesterday. Then I applied my AO HSR condish like a perm then put on 2 plastic caps and my black hat....lol. After work I will hit the gym (I haven't been there all week) for my spin class then right after I will do a body sculpt plus abs class. Then I will reward myself and my hair with a relaxing 20 min steam in the steam room. Once I go home I will wash out my DC with cold water then spray diluted setting lotion. Apply my whipped shea/oil and castor oil to scalp then section and do individual twists with my whipped shea/oil mix. We will see.....

I will also report back to you gals what time the blog talk will be.

I've been on the verge of tears all day....and the funny part is I have on my contact so that doesn't make for good vision at all...

OH yeah my scalp was itching but I really don't think it was because of the hat.

GOOD EVENING GALS,

I just wanted to update about my hair situation...lol. I was able to go to the gym and do weights, spin class, and a body works plus abs class. Then hit the steam room. FABULOUS!!!

I then came home and washout my hair from the DC with cold water. My hair was sooooo soft and moisturizer. I then began to section and apply castor oil first then my whipped shea/oil mix to my scalp. I then sprayed with setting lotion/water mix and applied whipped shea butter/oil mix to my hair, twisted and curl with paper and rod rollers. I was a little scared of my hair without product. It looked tight and dry but really wwasn't dry at all. I wondered what my hair type would be and would I really be able to do a wash n-go. But once I applied the castor oil and shea butter/oil mix, it was like my hair changed into something else. This is so hard to explain. Maybe someone can help me. Anyway, I liked the change and I will try to leave the twists in for a week. We will see........

I also ran out of my whipped shea mix. I hope I have enough shea butter to do another mix. I loved that mix for my face and hair.

In other news, needless to say the blogtalk will not be happening this weekend. However next weekend is a definite. We have to settle on the times. So I will keep you gals posted on that.
