Flaxseed Oil.....
So a couple of the other ladies and I were discussing the flaxseed oil we still have from other purposes and were wondering how we can use it for our hair. I found a few things online for recipes to make gels but that involves using the whole seed. We have just the oil.
So do any of you have any good recipes for any hair butters or anything??? We'd like to hear them. I know that some of you have posted good recipes for other stuff so I was just wondering if you'd be able to help out. I'm thinking we can use this oil the same way we use any other oil. But suggestions would be great!!!

Flaxseed oil is great for the scalp. You can do a scalp massage. Work the oil from root to ends and leave in at least an hour. Wash out with shampoo or conditioner.

Re: Flaxseed Oil.....
Thanks Choctaw. I am just now seeing this post. Thanks for the info. Have you used this before? I feel like it would be a lot like castor oil since it's a little thicj. I am gonna use this one day but probably after I use most of my castor oil. (Im doing a challenge!! LOL) Thanks again!!
Re: Flaxseed Oil.....
misskris,
I have better results washing out thick oils if I:
(a) saturate hair with hot/very warm water before adding conditioner
OR
(b) put cheap thick onditioner on top of oil for at least an hour, then wash out.
The first time I did an oil rinse with castor oil, it was like the Attica 1974 uprising movie .... I heard Clarence Williams screaming "HOT SOUP" cuz castor was not going down the drain easily
