Ok so....what hell is SCAB HAIR?

So I keep hearing about this scab hair crap on all kinds of forums and it sounds really far fetched to me. I mean a friend of mine says her mom used to relax her hair quite often and when she transitioned her hair came out just fine. So can someone break this down for. And how do some people get it and some dont?

Im not sure but i watched this video on youtube where this young lady said she had scab hair and had to cut her off again pretty much she said her hair grew with no curl pattern and was just limp , from what i understood this phenomenon occurs when your hair is seriously damaged and even your scalp is damaged to where the first hair that grows have no curl pattern no definition and is damaged as well ...
that's all i've got on scab hair lol

Scab hair is commonly referred to as hair that was affected by the relaxer just beneath the scalp that causes those ends of their to be dry and/or have a different curl pattern. Many women believe they suffered from this, but not everyone experiences it, I personally have not.
