Shedding??? Empty Shedding???

Post by MissDiva_818 28th November 2010, 1:11 am

Every time I wash my hair I have a billion hair strands that accumulate at my feet. I am concerned if my hair is breaking off or if its just shedding. Is lots of shedding normal for natural curlies???

Check the strands of hair. It one end of the hair has a little white bulb/tip on it, then its a shed hair. If not, then it's breakage.

Well I have seasonal shedding ad seasonal growth. Sometimes I get more shedding because I'm using too many products with protein in it and I need to cut back. Sometimes I'm just washing it too often and need to leave it alone.

But this is just my hair. It took time for me to learn my hair and why it does what it does.

I also get seasonal shedding and seasonal growth. My hair sheds like crazy from January to March then grow like crazy between May through August
I just started DCing once a week. Waiting to see how that goes.

This will be my second Winter so I'm hoping to control the shedding if not at least I will be learning the pattern
