Problem with hair

I took down my locs. Which caused a lot of breakage and uneven ends. Now I am wearing my hair natural and loose. The problem is on top of my head there is a bunch of little hair all over that sticks up. if I braid my hair I can't have a smooth braid, there is ends at the top. What can I do? I really don't want to cut all of my hair off. Any ideas on what I can or should do?

You are gonna always have those little "fly-a-ways" That could just be new growth. You know when our hair sheds, the entire strand comes out, so when it grows back, it will shorter than the rest of your hair. I hope that makes sense.

I checked out your blog and your locs were GAWGEOUS!!! How long had you had them?

I was locked for 5.5 years. I loved them, but I was bored because I could not wear updos. It just hurt so much, I never did my own locs. I went to the salon.

So how long did it take you to comb them out?

I cut them in half, then I raked them out with a comb. I used conditioner and take down. It took me 3 days, all day all night!!!

wow, now that's commitment. I probably woulda gave up and just cut the rest out. your hair looks beautiful by the way.[ you must have had long locs if you cut half off and still have this much hair left]
