Giovanni Direct Leave in
Can I apply Direct Leave in to dry hair or is it really only to be used on wet hair? Thank you
Re: Giovanni Direct Leave in
I've never applied it to dry hair but I have applied it to damp hair....about 40-50% dry and it worked fine.

I have applied it to dry hair and it works very well and moisturizing. I have found that I can apply a product to dry hair if the first ingredient is water.

I too have applied it to dry hair, especially to smooth my ends and roll them.

I tried on both dry and damp hair for two strand twist and my hair was extremely dry but soft... has anyone used for two strand twists? What could I have done wrong?

Since I am not natural yet, my hair doesn't hold 2 strand twists, but I do flat twists and GDLI works fine for me. Really, I honestly believe the kimmaytube leave-in enhances anything I use. This is my observation.
Since water and aloe are the first 2 ingredients, I would have expected you to have had more moisture success. Did you do any type of potentially drying treatment (color, henna, clay...) or used a gel or other product that is drying within 2 or 3 days of using it? Were the dry and wet twist results equally as "dry?" Has this been your experience with other products you have used to twist during the same time frame and conditions (same weather, humidity, etc.?) I ask these question b/c maybe you did not do anything wrong in terms of product application.

Did you try the GDLI or the Kimmaytube with GDLI?

I usually use it alone, but when I need extra moisture, I use it in the Kimmaytube mixture.
