Black Friday Product Research!! Empty Black Friday Product Research!!

Post by summerbreeze76 15th November 2010, 6:36 pm

Wow i was just doing research for Black Friday so that i can be prepared bright and early in the morning. I looked into Afroveda and then realized that that was the product line that hicked their prices about a month ago. SO uhm NOPE.

Went to Darcy Botanicals and EVERYTHING is sold out. There is a note, however that states they are closed in preparation for Black Friday. So i will be doing more research there tonight.

My next research project is Qhemet.

I know i will be ordering the Cocasta Oil from Hairveda

Any suggestion on others....

This is sad i dont need anything, infact i cleaned from under my sink yesterday and my conditioners alone filled up a crate plus some...but is am oh so excited.

I'm going to get some things from Oyin. I want to try their head-to-toe hair and body wash. I also want to buy some other natural products.

I want to try the Shampoo bars from Afroveda, they sound nice. And I want to get the Amla and Olive Heavy Cream from Qhemet.

Sadly, I have to do all my ordering from a cellphone because my computer died. ;-;

Most of the sites have stop selling products in preparation for Black Friday.

My list keeps getting longer and longer.

Qhemets Alma and Olive Heavy Cream
Qhemets Hydrating Balm

Darcy's Botanicals Deep Conditioner

Hairveda's Cocosta Oil
Hairveda's Protein system
Hairveda's SitirNillah ??

I was gonna purchase some BeeMine products too but I think I will hold off. One thing about purchasing all these natural products is they have to be used up within 9-12 months. I would hate to buy something and it go bad before I even get to use it.

Hey ladies! I'm a newbie and I'm so excited about my natural journey, however I really could use some starter product suggestions. I have really curly hair and so far I've only used olive oil and Paul Mitchell's daily conditioner and they've worked fine but really want to explore my options.

When you choose what products to try, do it based on the your strands (fine, medium or thick), your current needs (do you need a shampoo, detangling conditioner, deep conditioner), and the styles your wear (twist/twist outs, wash n gos, braids/braid out).

I hope I didnt confuse you even more. LOL!!

This was what I needed, everyone keeps telling me that it's trial and error but I still didn't know what I needed to learn about my hair. What would you suggest on "Shampoo" because from what I've been reading many women just co wash but only shampoo once a month or so?

When I first BC'd, I would co wash 1-2x a week and shampoo once a month but as my hair got longer, I started shampooing every week. I no longer co wash my hair. I work out 3-4 days a week so that's what works for me. I also use a sulfate shampoo which naturals say will dry your hair out. That has not been my experience. I use Creme of Nature Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo and I love it. I can detangle my hair with this shampoo.

Figuring out what your hair needs is trial and error. The key is to try one new product at a time. Use it at least 3 times before you decide if it works for you.

I would say start out shampooing every other week first. If it is too much, then try once a month.
