Searching for a good DC Empty Searching for a good DC

Post by abradley002 10th November 2010, 11:05 pm

So, I am currently searching for a moisturizing deep conditioner. I've been using Giovanni 50/50 balanced hydrating condish as a DC for almost 5 months. I recently bought a new bottle and was very disappointed. I dont know what kind of change they've made to the product but it is no longer thick and creamy, its very thin and runny, and the results were not pleasing. It left my hair rough and squeaky, where the previous bottles left my hair soft, moisturized and feeling like butter.

Any suggestions for a good moisturizing DC???

i have 3c/4a hair, very thick

Some great DCs I've used are:

- Hairveda's SitriNillah Deep Conditioner
- Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose
- Giovanni Smooth as Silk Deeper Moisture
- Pantene Curly Deep Treatment

Hope this helps!

Try making your own or adding honey and olive oil to your conditioner.

I use EVCO as my deep conditioner. Sometimes I leave it on over night or I'll just leave it on for 3-4 hours covered with a plastic cap or plastic bag - whichever you have handy. This really moisturizes my hair and leaves it shiny.

This weekend I'm going to try using my DC - Trader Joes Nourish Spa and mix with the EVCO and see how that works out.

I hear jessicurls weekly DC treatment is good but I haven't used it. I'm thinking about it purchasing a sample of it once the weather gets colder.

I have been looking at purchasing Jessicurl WDT also. I just dont want to buy only that one product from curl mart. I want to purchase at least 3 things cuz the S&H is $8.00

I purchased Aussie 3min Moist yesterday. Haven't used it yet but heard good things about it.

I love Giovanni Deep Moisture Smooth as Silk. I was using it as a detangler in the shower but I'm trying a different regimen and will be using HEHH as a detangler (cheaper) and my GDM as a deep conditioner. With any deep conditioner I use, I always add a couple drops of EVOO.

My next DC purchase will be Darcy's Botanicals DC but I'm waiting til Blk Friday to order.

AOHR is the thickest conditioner that I have ever came across! This is a great deep conditioner for those who have extremely dry hair.

Darcy Botanticals Deep Conditioning Mask. Awesome. I reviewed it on this thread earlier this month.
