Senegalese twists w/ human hair?
Has anyone had Senegalese twists done with human hair versus synthetic hair. If done with human hair what was your experience? I have had Senegalese twists done with synthetic hair but it was slightly heavy and hard which made it difficult to style. With the synthetic hair the style was neat and the twists lasted 2 months but I was not happy with the lack of versatility. I want to maybe try the Senegalese twists with human hair so it would be lighter and easier to wear in different styles.

I found some human Marley braid hair on a website. I'm really curious about doing them with human hair but haven't tried...

I have used the human hair because I didnt like the feel of the synthetic hair. I actually learned how to do them myself last year and loved the results of the finished product.I believe it was the Malrey braid hair but human..kannekelon(sp?). Let me see if I can find some pics for you. That is gonna be my protective style for the winter because its cold(#1) and 2. I got amazing growth with them in my hair especially since I did them myself they wern't too tight either...

Here are a few pics.. Didnt have any shots with them down.. I overall liked it with the human hair and would probably not try it with the synthetic hair...Hate the feel of that stuff... HTH

@laleepop14 and curlycookies Thanks for responding. I had my Senegalese done with freetress afrelle kankelon which happens to be very soft and light. I am really happy with the look and texture of this hair. It looks like straight human yaki hair (the hair used to do micros). It does not even have to be dipped in hot water to appear straight.

Have you tried using yarn??? I do mine with Yarn I love it... i know most people do Yarn braids but I cant stand taking braids out but the twist are easier and the yarn looks natural!

i have "Senegalese twists" in my hair right now without extensions. usually when its just your hair its called "rope twists" or "sister twists" and Nikki from BBB does them a lot (a's hair is extremely long so it looks like she has extensions) http://beadsbraidsbeyond.blogspot.com/search?q=sister+twists
