Holiday Hair
With the holidays approaching there is always an excuse to dress up...hair included!
Anyone have any specials styles they plan to break out?

Re: Holiday Hair
@tiashauntee, that is cute!!! I would love to see you pull it off!!
I definitley have some ideas for childrens Christmas hair. I will be posting them on the blog. I already posted a couple of holiday hair ideas.
Now for what I would like to try on A's hair...
-crown braid. I think that is what it's called. It's a braid that goes in a circle all around the head. Dress it up w/ flowers or ribbon or something to match her dress. I attempted a crown braid during the summer time and FAILED! lol It seemed like her hair was too thick but I am determined to at least give it another try.
-rollerset. After seeing Maria's rollerset video I would like to try it on A's hair, without heat. I'm not sure how it would turn out but I am thinking about trying it for Thanksgiving, if I stop being so lazy and go buy the rollers. If all else fails, I can just put her hair in a bun. lol
-Bun. I already posted a bun style on the blog but there are SO many different bun styles I want to try!!
-Twisted updo. When A had her three strand twists in I attempted to do an updo with bobbypins, can you say FAIL! I had NO idea where to place the pins, lol. I love the look of the twisted up do but I can't seem to get it. Any tips??

Re: Holiday Hair
I think I'm on the updo kick for now. I'm really trying to get into wearing protective styles and this one happens to be very cute and versatile. I think they look very regal!

That is CUTE!
Re: Holiday Hair
I want to try a style I saw on the show starring Julie Louise Dryfuss last night. It was a pompadour and had some loose hair at the nape. I hope I can pull it off. I plan to practice this weekend.
Re: Holiday Hair
I attempted a braid out for Thanksgiving, but think I need to wait until it's longer to look right. I think I'll stick to twistouts. I'm in a wedding this weekend and have not idea what to do...
New Year's Styles
I always try to do something a little different with my hair on NYE. New Years was actually when I started wearing my hair curly back in 2006. Anyone got any styles they are going to attempt?

I love this braid that Alicia Keys has on top...Tia I think you can pull it off after seeing that fancy lil updo you did with the twists...I am thinking about trying to rock this...but Idk if I want to straighten the rest of my hair...

That is cute! I wish there was a pick of the back of her hair
Re: Holiday Hair
The way I'm feeling I don't know if I'm going to even make it to church on NYE. I'm tired, but I still want to look cute. So I may just do a coilout.
I saw these cute clips on Forever21's website and I want to get them so bad, but I know I'm not going to drag out there before Thursday.

and even if you drag out to Forever 21 they may not have the clips. The in-store selection is HORRIBLE at crabtree.
