Twists on a TWA
I twisted my TWA in mini two strand twists all over yesterday but this morning, they were shriveled up like little rollie pollies and some of them would not lay down flat, or close to it.
Any suggestions?
If I use clips (like duck bill clips) do I have to sleep in them?

Have you tried putting on a stocking cap after you have them twisted?

Or a scarf tight to your head? How about maybe using bobby pins to hold a few in place? Like one bobby pin per 4 mini twists right at the root?

Twisting on dry hair helps combat shrinkage.

thanks for the suggestions ladies! They all worked great. Now my problem is frizz... I twisted on dry hair, only using black beeswax. Do I need to use gel too?

Using gel will give you a more finished look. I would suggest adding a little oil to your gel so your hair wont be crunchy. Try the ecocustard mix.

Re: Twists on a TWA
when my hair was long enough to twist i used the black prostyle gel, softee coconut oil and softee gel activator mixed together. on wet hair.. sprayed with oil, tied it down with a doo rag... it lasted for about two weeks then i would untwist them with my fingers and would put oil in my hair and have a twist out for a few days. i got the mix from a natural hairstylist that i use to got to until i figured out how to do my own hair.
