i did peep the makeup forever deal...my next makeup buy is gonna be the 24/7 stash eyeliners ($40), i wonder if its online only though....lemme check...

I believe it is MAC's Zoom lash, the one with carbon (black) eyeshadow in it. I tend to like clumpy lashes. You like?

ok so i was playin around...bored. initially, i wanted to practice on my kardashian smokey eye look which is why i started out with the eye liner. im gettin better at applyin the liner to the bottom lid, which i think the UD 24/7 zero glider makes it easier for me (the top i used liquid) but i ended up with this:

It does look good...have you ever tried NYX eyeshadow pencils? They're great for creating a smoky eye.

for my lips???? i really cant remember right now (got a workin fire goin on at work, EEEK!!) more than likely it was a reddish lip gloss by sephora!

@kellee; the only nyx pencil i have is milk but i do wanna collect more bounce

Nubie love the smokey look!

Here my 3 shades of purple look i am rocking at work and i wore this weekend. Purple does make brown eyes POP!! 2 of the shades of purple and the highlight came from my 120 palette from bh cosmetics and the darkest purple is a MAC shadow. Primer makes a world of difference and truely shows that even if you use a cheaper shadow with a more expensive on you can't tell the differenc when you put them together. I used to think if it was MAC it was no good. Thanks to you ladies i am glad i ventured out and tried some other brands.

you are so right npmoore, primer makes a world of difference. i figured this out when i was determined to make some nyx colors pop on my eyes as much as they did in the palette.

So I was home sick today and had to go to the stores to get some things for my boys' school fall festival this week and wandered into the makeup aisles! I didn't know the Dollar Store sold makeup! At least not as much as I saw but I got 2 12-colour palettes by LA Colours and at Target I got some e.l.f products. I've never heard of these brands until my recent obsession with youtube makeup videos.
From Target I got 2 elf make up brushes (each $1), an elf eyelash curler ($1), elf eyes kit with lengthening mascara, shimmery black eyeliner pencil, and liquid liner ($3), and I think that's it! The prices were right up my alley! Are elf products always that cheap? Or did I catch some special sale? It was on an end cap that was practically empty so I figured it was some great sale going on!
So now to experiment! I'll let you girls know how it goes Smile

Oh I did try the mascara and it really did make my lashes look longer! Cool! I'm so excited! LOL

So I was watching QVC this weekend and they're makeup special but is a 20 eyeset from BareMinerals for $80 (thats like 4 bucks a shadow) & it's on easy pay for 3 payments of like $26 or something like that. I've never tried they're eyesahdows (I think they are all powders) but I am sooooo so tempted to buy it. As I was watching it I was on MACs website about to order 2 eyeshadows for like 30 bucks and this made me stop myself.

Have any of yall used BareMinerals??

I've tried the bare mineral shadows and yes they are loose powder based. They are highly pigmented and play well with other brands. With a few drops of water you can turn the bare minerals shadows into a shiny cream shadow.

As long as you use eyeshadow brushes its fairly easy. To reduce shadow fallout, either hold a tissue under your eye while applying shadow or dust translucent powder under your eye and brush it away when you're done.

@jc, yes, e.l.f. is always that inexpensive. I have a couple of LA Colours palettes. They are nicely pigmented. I have baked ones and they go on nicely when wet. I spray MAC Fix+ or visine on the eyeshadow brush before brushing it on shadows. Below is a look using the baked shadows.

Looks great Chrs! thanks for the tip! I saw a ytube vid that mentioned dipping her brush on a wet/damp rag before dipping into eyeshadow. I'll have to try that tomorrow! Ugh, I still need to get primer!

I know I'm late but I tried the "lining your brows with concealer" thing today and OMG I'm in love. It REALLY does make your brows looks so refined. My coworker was like, did you get your brows done? They look really good.

Mind you, I haven't had my brows fully waxed in about 3 weeks, just a few touch ups here and there with a razor...
