Trimming Transitioning Hair
Question: How do you trim transitioning hair? Wet or dry..

Re: Trimming Transitioning Hair
I trim my transitioning hair dry. It helps me to keep it pretty even if I want to wear it straight occasionally.

I trim my hair dry, especially if you want to do a search and destroy its easier to see the split ends.
@naturallynu....your hair in your profile pic is very cute.

@naturallynu how is you avatar hair styled b/c as Tmochava mentioned it is very cute. Do you have additional pics you can post and can you please share how you achieved the results b/c i would let to try that after I'm done transitioning and doing mini-chops? I hope I'm not asking too much, it is just too cute and very unique.

Re: Trimming Transitioning Hair
Thank you very much Tmochava and curl_Gurl!! I will try to post some additional pics. The majority of my pics are in my fotki. I try to update it on a regular basis but I get sidetracked sometimes. For the style in my avatar I did the following:
1. Washed with Suave Clarifying Shampoo in 4 sections
2. Conditioned with VO5 Clarifying Conditioner in 4 sections
3. Detangled my hair with Jane Carter's leave in 4 sections
4. Took a section at a time and two strand twisted while it was wet with Kinky Curly Custard. I did not part just grabbed hair and twisted
5. When I got to the front sections of my head I flat twisted/two stand twisted
6. When hair was all twisted I put large perm rods at the ends. Waited until hair was dry then removed all rollers in a spiral fashion
That's pretty much it. Let me know if you have any questions. I remember using Kinky Curly on this set but I have used ecostyler gel with similar results and it is a lot cheaper. This style lasted me a week. I slept in my satin bonnet each night and sprayed moisturizer and sealed with coconut oil every night.
Hope this helps.

Re: Trimming Transitioning Hair
Thanks naturallynu that information was truly appreciated, this will definitely be one of the first styles I try once I'm done transitioning.

Re: Trimming Transitioning Hair
I normally trim dry
S & D dry as well
I trim my own hair most of the time, if not I let my mom trim bc I don't trust people.
