Natural women in uniform

I have finally convinced my best friend to become a natural. This is a great accomplishment, BUT she is ready to give up already!! She's in the military and needs to wear her hair up 5 days a week. Any sugestions on stlyes that she can wear in uniform? (No wigs, no weaves and no braids)

What branch of the military is she in? I am in the Army, and when I first BC'd in 2006 I had a TWA in Korea. However, that only lasted so long, so I did the micro braids and cornrows for a minute. I hated that though because the braids hurt or itched so I just decided to do cornrows in the front with two strand twists in the back until my hair got long enough. For about two years, I rocked Two Strand Twists. Unfortunately I got a relaxer before I deployed, and I am about to do the BC once again. I love being natural. There are limitations to wearing your hair natural in uniform. Especially for PT. I rarely blew out my hair. Only for balls and such, but it is doable, if you are ready to deal with the same hairstyle for a long period of time.

I was just about to make a post to get some input on this too because I am in the Air Force. I know alot of girls have told me to go with braids and wigs. Only problem is that I can not wear them all the time due to my job. Wigs are not supposed to worn when you work out on the aircraft. And my other problem is the PT isssue. I already had short hair and I am still very afraid of te TWA. My other issue is that I been in for about 11 years now and with all the rules and regulations I can't firgure out just how to style my hair for work. I am so used to the sleek smooth ponytail, I get a lil overwhelmed when I see myself with a braidout. I know its sounds crazy but its hard to get used too. Still trying to figure out how to attach pics I'll had some as soon as I figure it out.
