No-fail wet rollersets on 4b hair
Hi Ladies,
I'm looking for tried and true methods/products for wet sets on 4b hair. My hair is approximately 5 inches long, and I'm using perm rods.
I've used Motions foam wrap (bleccch - has alcohol) and SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Milk and Souffle (looked good for a couple of hours, then tick-tick-tick-tick-POUFFF!)
Please tell me what works for you, and whether you air dry or use heat.
Thanks in advance
ps.
Please excuse my tiny avatar - still not able to get it sized right.

Thanks tiashauntee!
I tried it last night and it worked. The curls were poppin! There were still some damp areas, but I will dry it longer next time. Second day hair will be the test.
I used Trader Joe's 99% aloe vera gel and castor oil (what I had on hand).
In your experience, does the gel or oil selection make a difference?
Thanks!

tia that rollerset was FIERCE! I only wish I had seen this thread on monday when I rollerset my hair . I don't like using gels like ECO because they tend to dry my hair out and I need to wash them out within a few days, but I never thought to use aloe vera gel instead. I think i'm definitely trying your method sometime next week.

Gels with alcohol yield hard hair for me and as a result I don't keep the roller-set for long. I prefer to use something water-based. So far I have not noticed if the oil selection made a difference, the results have always been the same.
