I'm curious if anyone has an opinion about the importance of employing a skilled stylist for getting a super short cut.

Right now, my hair (3c-2b) is beyond TWA but too short to do much styling.
I'd like to get a little crop (maybe 1-2 inches of hair) and I'm wondering if it's a bad idea to save some $ by going to Hair Cuttery or something instead of my usual salon stylist.

What do you think, ladies? Does the skill level of the stylist matter when one is seeking a super short, basic cut?

I think so. Why don't you try going to a barber? They are usually cheaper and are good at cutting short hair.

I agree. My mom has been rocking a twa for like 7 years and she goes to barbers. Good barbers will hook it up for cheap!

Since you live in DC, I highly suggestion the Bubbles Salon! I go there every time I want a hair cut (and I only get ultra-short cuts), and they do me right every time. In fact, I'm going there this Friday to get my hair cut down to about 1/4 - 1/2 inches so I can rock another ultra-short TWA. Go to their website and use the salon locator to find one. They're awesome! Very Happy
