Weekend Hair Plans Empty Weekend Hair Plans

Post by kypowell 6th August 2010, 3:18 pm

I've been wearing wash n' gos for about 2 weeks now, so my hair is a tangled mess. I decided to pamper myself a little this weekend. Well, here's my plans:

  • Right now I'm prepooing with Suave naturals Tropical Coconut conditioner and EVOO under a plastic cap.
  • Then, I'm going to wash with Suave naturals Tropical Coconut shampoo.
  • Oil rinse using Smooth 'N Shine Silk Fusion Oil (slightly detangle while oil is in hair)
  • Do a black tea and cinnamon rinse (using 5 tea black & 1 cinnamon stick in 2qt of water)
  • Deep Condition with Organics Olive Oil Deep Conditioner under hood dryer for 20 minutes.
Not sure how I want to style after I do all this. Any suggestions?

So what are your weekend hair plans?

What is the result of the black tea/cinnamon rinse? That sounds interesting! I'm still transitioning so I don't really have a set regimen. I want to use up some products that are taking up space, so I'll probably do a dc w/ redken protein treatment, rinse out w/ Neutrogena Triple Moisture & EVOO. I'm going to attempt to do some bantu knots for the second time.

Washed and conditioned yesterday and I plan to rock this TnC for the rest of the weekend. May have to redo tomorrow for church if I think it won't hold. This humidity is killing my day 3 and sometimes my day 2 hair!

I am going to Henna on sunday after church so I am going to mix it up Saturday. My grey hairs are really showing. I am also going to try mixing up a avacodo conditioner recipe that I found some where on CN. I'm going to try it as a DT after the Henna. I also need to replenish my shea butter mixture. I have no idea how I will be styling my hair.

I'm gonna wash, Henna, DC, and probably do a WnG, which I'll twist later tonight. It's gonna keep me trapped in the house for some hours, but I need to clean my house anyway.

This weekend will be my first time doing anything (just decided to go natural a few days ago). I'm going to do a hot oil treatment, then co-wash with Suave DamageCare conditioner and deep condition w/Garnier Fructis sleek & shine (do you think that's too much conditioning?). Then I plan to twist and spiral curl on perm rods. Hopefully, I get a nice style out of it.

Beautifullyfree: I love your hair Smile

So I want to make a spritz bottle because I don't really like the smell of my moisturizer that much, but it works great. I was thinking of using my herbal essence hello hydration because it smells AMAZING:) What's in your spritz bottles??

In my bottle, I have water, Kinky Curly Knot Today, jojoba oil and rosemary and lavender essential oils. I LOVE the way the rosemary and lavender combo smells, AND the way it makes my scalp feel. Not to mention the moisture. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I gave myself my last birthday gift for this year. This is my 12th month being natural. I had my color done over, with a few highlights and blown straight. Sasha had the works done today!

I bought mine from Vitamin Cottage. You should be able to get some from any health store like Whole Foods, Vitamin Cottage etc
