Thanksgiving Hair Plans
Well its that time of year again; first Thanksgiving and then we all know Christmas follows right behind it! But here we are a couple days away from Thanksgiving, where most of us will be with family & friends, some of which we haven't seen in months! (I loooove this time of year!) So with all the planning involved; travel plans, family plans, dinner plans, etc., what are your hair plans? What style will you be rockin out this Thanksgiving holiday????
As for me, my travel day will be Wednesday (will be flying home to Arkansas! Yayyy for the Natural State!...and yes Arkansas really is called "The Natural State"! LOL, seriously!) so I plan on doing my hair tomorrow night---> Will co-wash and probably do a twist-n-curl.
What about all of you? Dish your "Turkey Day Do" [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] LOL!

I will be experimenting with bantu knot outs for the first time. A friend of mine is going to do it for me today. I'm a bit nervous about trying a new hairstyle, but hopefully it will turn out nice.

I will be travelling to DC on Thursday morning to be exact and I have work the night before (til midnight) so because of this I really want to do something that wouldn't distract me at work, but be nice enough to surprise my loved one when i get to DC.
I think I'm going to try the cinna-bun ^_^

@rebelrocks [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Hahahahaha....Hilarious! That's a great idea (hair in an up-do) because I will be stuffing my face as well! Would hate for the hair to interfere with what's on my plate! LOL!

Re: Thanksgiving Hair Plans
Ok so I'm meeting some of my boyfriend's family for the first time on Thanksgiving (Yeah!!!!). So I think I may do something funky (but not too funky). I met some of his father's family at this ghetto wedding over the weekend (the wedding is a whole nother post- and yes I said "whole nother" lol) So to that wedding I wore my fro real funky and a flower in it. I think I may do the same on Thanksgiving but I can always play it safe and pull it back in a puff and a scarf... hmmm decisions decisions decisions
Re: Thanksgiving Hair Plans
@ StacyB-I have def been to my share of those weddings. lol @ "whole nother"
This will be my first time wearing my hair flat ironed this year so I'm curious to see what the response will be.

I will be wearing what I always wear......a twist out. The only thing different is I will wear a dry twist out which I've only worn once.

Re: Thanksgiving Hair Plans
i'll be wearing a twist out. i did the twists on sunday so hopefully they will be super defined and cute! i unfortunately will not be with family because mom and pops had to go and retire to haiti lol. but i will be with co-workers and friends so that's exciting. i'm gonna go buy my outfit tomorrow. woohoo! (btw that's got to be my favorite emoticon)
Re: Thanksgiving Hair Plans
Well being that I have to bake and try to squeeze in hair pampering. I'm going for a regular roller set to see what happens. If it turns out to be a hot mess, I will co-wash again on Friday after shopping and rod set

I had been bunning and yesterday was the 9th day since my last co-wash, so I got it in. I co-washed and did a chunky twist n curl, it's ok if I do say so myself. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Bantu Knot Out Mohawk?
I will wear my hair in a bantu knot out. I had success with my most recent one today. I will pincurl tonight and depending on how my hair looks, I may try a bantu knot out mohawk--that’s a mouthful--tomorrow.
Re: Thanksgiving Hair Plans
will be spending the last half of the holiday at the beach (but the weather looks iffy for the weekend, and so we shall see). am meeting a dear girlfriend of mine on Friday, and so, i plan on just re-doing my twists on that day.

Re: Thanksgiving Hair Plans
Between work and finding time to cook I may have to make do with my flattwist-out that I've been rocking this week! I wanted to refresh it but I may not have time. Oh well, maybe I'll pull it back in a puff! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haven't done that in a long time!

Re: Thanksgiving Hair Plans
curlynikki, yeah, but its been overcast for the most of the week, and its supposed to be rainy for the next couple of days followed by a cold front. i would like to hang by the beach even in these cozy temps, but the fam prefers warmer temps.

Re: Thanksgiving Hair Plans
I plan on cowashing tonight and doing some extra deep conditioning. I'm still in the TWA phase, so I will just wear a really cute headband.
Re: Thanksgiving Hair Plans
Going to the gf's family side (eek!) so I have to look the best. Bantu knot out seems the easiest way for me to get that curly look. add a flower for pizzazz and WAM BAM THANK YOU MAAM!!!

Re: Thanksgiving Hair Plans
i have no idea what to do with my hair for turkey day. i had started some kinky twists yesterday, but i woke up this morning feeling like i got hit by a mac truck. my head is killing me, my nose is running, and i just generally feel awful, so i'm gonna have to nix the kinky twists. i'm annoyed, bc i'd gotten a 1/3 of the way through. oh well. i guess it wasn't meant to be. i wasn't really feeling my color choice anyway...
