Moisturizer recommendation??? Empty Moisturizer recommendation???

Post by Naturally Zee 5th August 2010, 2:20 pm

Okay, can anyone recommend a protein free commercial moisturizer? Even homemade, because I am at my wits ends. I need a leave in and a DT. I have been using Elasta's DPR-11 for the past two weeks, 20 mins heat and then overnight.

My hair is very crunchy, and I see that all theproducts I had in my closet are protein heavy. So I realy need something for plain moisture. Even Kimmaytube's leave in didn't work...my hair needs help!!!

Oh man, I was going to recommend Kimmay's LI. It is very moisturizing for me. You can try shea moisture deep masque at select targets.

I think once I get my hair "situated" her leave in would work better. I'm pretty sure that my hair has serious protein overload.

I have the same problem with protein. I tried the AO Honey Suckle Rose and it didn't work for me either. I didn't see protein listed as an ingredient but my hair doesn't like any of the AO products that I have tried. The Cantu Shea Leave-in works great for me. My hair loves it and you can get it at Walmart. I am still trying to find something that works for me for DT's.

Try a mix of aloe vera gel, gelly or juice and oil(s) of your choice. I use a mix of EVOO, aloe vera juice, water and glycerin. My hair loves it! The ratio is more EVOO than juice and more water than glycerin.
