Ponytail holders/Hair clips Empty Ponytail holders/Hair clips

Post by tmorgan 2nd August 2010, 5:18 pm

Hello,
I am trying to find out the best clips to make a big puff or a ponytail for a bun. When I use ouchless goodie bands for the bun, it creates too small of a bun. I don't really like how banana clips make my ponytail look, what does everyone else use??

Hi tmorgan...are you interested in a ponytail? or are you looking to wear a bun to protect your hair? if interested in a ponytail, check out 'IsisCold' on youtube. The video is titled "Faux Ponytail Trick" it just might interest you. Istarted creating a pony with this method and love it. I use goody ouchless hairbands and they work fine with this method. good luck. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

There are some videos on YouTube on how to make a puff using pantyhose... It may sound weird, but it works! And you can make the puff as big or small as you want. HTH!

I make my pony/puffs using pantyhose. I cut a strip out of an old pair and use it to pull/coax my hair up and together. This is the best method I've ever used!

I cut off the bottom inch of an old t-shirt. I also have a few pretty silk scarves that were intended to be used around your neck that I use for my hair.

I got the idea of using a bra strap from a strapless bra from Motowngirl.com. It works amazingly well and it's awesome cause you can adjust it.

Are you using the small Goodie hairbands? Those are probably too small for you...I use the bigger Goodie bands...I just double them and they work awesomely lol
