Need help with tranisitioning ideas

I am 2 month post relaxer and tomorrow I have an appt with my hair dresser. the first one sine my last relaxer [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] . She said 2 months ago that she is willing to help me through this....but when I stopped in to schedule she immedaiately started talking about relaxers. I know she didn't forget what I said. Anywoo I wanted to get some different ideas of what I could do. I cut my hair about last winter into a short pixie style. Its has started to grow back out since my last relaxer but still not very long, only about 1- 1 1/2 inches in the sides and in the back. I have never really had a weave, wig or anything, I am not a fan of big or flashy hair..I am in the military so I am also used to keeping it simple...the most I have ever really done is braids and drawstring ponytails. Just curious as to what ya'll think would be a good choice for me right now until it grows out more. Oh yea in case you couldn't tell I plan to do a long transition...not brave enough for the BC.
