Exercise drying out hair! Empty Exercise drying out hair!

Post by Runtinkrun 23rd July 2010, 3:10 pm

Hello everyone!

I run everyday, usually about 4 or 5 miles, and I can't help but sweat like crazy, especially in this heat ! >Sad To make it worse, I have a very very TWA that gets very dry . Since I run everyday I cowash with a basic conditioner, then apply a leave in and seal it with Unrefined shea butter. My hair stays nice for about an hour, then becomes extremely dry. Any ideas on what I could do or use?

I work out every day myself, and when I had a TWA, I sprayed mine with my water/glycerin oil mixture. You can find it on Youtube. I sprayed it in the morning, a little after I worked out, and at night before I went to bed.

Also, I recently made some of Kimmaytube's (find her on YouTube as well) leave in conditioner and it makes my hair really soft and it kept it moisturized and shiny for almost a week. You should try that.

I think you should try Coconut oil as the sealer

You could also put on a plastic cap and cover it with a cute bandanna, scarf, or hat. I do this and it keeps my hair moist and preserves my color.

@krys315 Ha, I try to do what I can, I run track at school, and i'm trying to stay in shape :)But thanks so much! I was looking at coconut oil for a sealer, I just have to find some.

@curlybarbi48 Haha yess that's my little mini me, my dad gets us confused because we are the same height( he's 6 years younger than me). He's in my avatar because He supported me in my big chop, he was more of a support than my boyfriend LOL. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
