I love Steve! I heard this segment and he did say you're gonna loose your man. What wasn't said is that he asked the woman if her man liked her hair and she said no, but she didn't care. So that had something to do with it as well.

Yes, Steve is an old school black man and he thinks a woman's hair is supposed to be straight and flowing. However, if you listen to him he's not a fan of wigs and weaves, but his wife does wear them. Please take him with a grain of salt and know who you're dealing with.

He has a lot of great qualities and he is one of the FEW black men in the public eye who is loving on black women. Nobody is perfect! Trust and believe he will stand up for us before a lot of other people. Let's not forget that he has called our men out on the carpet on many occassions on how we're treated and how we're disrespected in the public...so this comment is small change compared to the good he is doing for black women regardless of how we wear our hair.
