Thanks!krazy coils wrote:Love that hair color! It looks a little darker like dark auburn, hot!
And man did my hair get red!! I didn't even think it was light but I guess since it's not black or dark brown.....priceless wrote:Man the red. You can pull it off through i guess i am late on that one. i am writing down your spray mix i think i am going to try it. hope you do not mind. i have henna 2 times and brought some more to try again don't know when with this busy schedule but i will soon. My hair did not have too much of a change in color but they say the lighter your hair the redder it gets
Feel free to try out my mix!! I added the rose water for the smell and to help make the mix a little watery instead of like a thick and creamy conditioner. I'm on day 2 of using it and I'm loving how my hair feels! Let me know how your hair does.
I thought about that this morning when I looked at it in the mirror. So I'm gonna swollow a big girl pill and not complain about the color and rock it!KinkyNappyHappy wrote:WOW...that is red. You have the color most pray for with henna. I guess you're getting the results you're getting because your hair is already red. Lucky you!!! LOL
Thanks for the comliments everyone!! A lady with locs stopped me in the store yesterday and said, "I love the color of your hair!" and her eyes looked like this . So I'm keeping it!

I am with you sweet, I am scared to do it. My indian friend bought me some to work about a month ago and it is sill sitting here.
Your results are great. i have a concoction very similar to yours, and I love it too.

Cute style! Of course I love the color of the eyeshadows. Are the shadows the Elf you mentioned and how are they?

Yup my new shadows are e.l.f. So far I like them. I have to use primer with them in order for them to be as bright as I like my shadows. I bought a natural eye pallet, a smoke eye pallet and then a smokey eye pack that came with 4 eye shadow duos. I prefer M.A.C. but I'm broke so I'm gonna make due!!

I agree with kc and freckledmom, very cute style!! I am lusting now for red hair...I wonder if that means I'm backsliding, lol!
Your flat twists really switch it up a bit and the eyeshadow is so pretty! Natural diva!

Re: New Hair do
Your hair is really growing quickly!! love the grey smokey eye. kinda wish i had got that blue my mind eyeshadow trio at M.A.C. since it is only for a limited time and 19.50. love to love is okay but not as bright as i hoped it would be especially for my milk chocolate tone. i hav eit on in my avi, you can barely see the brown i end up putting carbon on the end.

Re: New Hair do
Sleep? Me either till last night and my right eye is twitching. Has been for at least a week. Good thing you can cover yours up so well! And I love how it goes with the earrings. Sigh...I want some makeup talent.
Re: New Hair do
Thanks!!! I've been having a hard time sleeping lately. I've been waking up at 3:30 am and not been able to fall back asleep til 6:30... to bad I need to be at work at 7:30....... Thank God today is my friday!
As far as make up goes you should peep out the make up thread. There are lots of good tips on there. My philosophy is practice makes perfect.... although I've been contemplating going to cosmotology school..... Maybe go in the evenings and do make up on the side in addition to my job??? I think I need something to help me explore my creative side.....

Re: New Hair do
Me too on the sleep. I've been waking up too early too and I can't figure out why. I used to do that when I was depressed about something. But through a lot of prayer, I've been delivered from anxiety and all that so this is kind of stumping me. Now, last night, I did sleep pretty well. I just think that had everything to do with my visitor. My eye is still twitching though. I can't stand that.
I'll check that thread out then. I need all the help I can get there!
Hmmm....doing makeup on the side...sounds like a good idea!! You're really good at it so why not just keep developing that side of you? Do you also explore all those natural makeups they have out? Are they any better for the skin?

Re: New Hair do
I've seen some of the natural make up. I was eyeing the natural brushes last week in Target. I might buy some when I get some extra dough. I'm also curious about the foundation air brush machines... I could only imagine what I could do if I had one of those!!!

Re: New Hair do
See. I didn't even know you could airbrush makeup on!
I have like one set of makeup (well, and one set that I bought just to play around with when I look at tutes). Whenever I layer makeup on though it just makes me look too old. I went to a specialist one time to get some makeup done, and the same thing was happening when she was putting it on. She would put some on and then take it off. Put some on, and then take it off. Then she said, your face really doesn't need a lot. It made me wonder if nobody knows what to do with it on my face because I can never get a dramatic look without looking old. It always looks natural so I usually just don't use it. If I do use it, it's an extra special occasion where you're just expected to and I only use one color and maybe a couple other values of it and a little bronzer for the whole scheme. Sad. I've got crows feet coming in so I'm going to have to learn it at some point.

Re: New Hair do
I am having a moment!!!! That's the best as I can describe it as. There must be something in the air cuz I'm feeling how Natty is. I've had cramps since sunday and I NEVER have cramps this bad or this long. I am not a happy camper. I decided not to go to work today cuz I'm pretty sure if anyone looked at me even a little sideways I might of set it off. So, I've been in bed all day looking at vids on YT and reading stuff on CN. Now I have a dilema.... I really want either a hamburger or a steak (I don't eat either that often) but I don't think it's a good idea to be out with the general population today.... Do I beg my sweetie to bring me one after work even though my house is in the opposite direction of his home??? Naw... I'll suck it up and have a turkey sammich I suppose....
On to hair news... I think I'm going to try the amla powder. I was supposed to do it last weekend but I chickened out when I read the box and saw that it could turn my hair black. I'm going to test it out in the back and then see what happens from there.....
Thanks for reading my rant.... I'm just a little "horm nal" today.
