Can you put regular coconut oil on your hair instead of extra virgin coconut oil? Will it still come out the same way?

I dont think it has to be extra virgin per se but it should be unrefined.

Unrefined Coconut Oil is the crude coconut oil that has been obtained right from the expeller; unrefined, unfiltered and without any additives. It is also called the Pure Coconut Oil. Virgin Coconut Oil, Organic Coconut Oil and the Organic Virgin Coconut Oil can be unrefined too.

I use regular coconut oil because I can't deal with the smell of the unrefined stuff.

I buy mine right from the supermarket, refined and deodorized. My hair LOVES it.

Everyone's hair is different, but you can certainly give it a try.

I've noticed that unrefined coconut oil has traces of coconut shavings in it. You may have to melt it and strain to get rid of them. I use a coconut oil mix, and saw some white specks on my scalp. Not dandruff, luckily, but shavings. I've started using Vatika Coconut Oil now, and I'm really like it. Found at an Indian store.
