YOU GOT SKILLS!!!

Yesterday rained and I sweated in Zumba...I just knew my roller set was going to be gone bye bye. But alas....IT REMAINS! I didn't touch it when I was sweating and I kept it pulled in a snug ponytail during Zumba. I came home, showered, and then proceed to try and salvage my roller set. I got a free sample from Natural Oasis so I applied that to my ends and to the edges of my edges in the smoothing back motion. Then I pulled my hair back into a low pony tail and used a goody ouch-less band to "stretch" the length. I wasn't trying to stretch I was more trying to keep my pony tail from curling up overnight. The roller set really gives me some defined curls. I am going to try it again before making suggestions on this technique.

A roller set is a lot of work so I am going to try to make this one last two weeks....this is just week 1
I washed every other week during my twist month so I think I can do it again.

To smooth the roots. This cancels the need for using a flat iron after my hair has dried.

I am neutral about it as of right now. I haven't used it enough to really form an opinion. This was only my second time using it. I am hoping that I love it because I saw it in my local BSS and I love when I can purchase things locally versus ordering online when it comes to my hair products.

I used to be afraid too so I started with a dark brown - something not too noticeable....Now I am addicted to color. I used to want this when Destiny's Child was all the rave:


I trying hard to break my addiction but I am wanting color sooooo bad. Maybe this spring...

Last night I did a mini S&D (search and destroy). I found one split end but lots of knots. I like S&D because I can get rid of those knots without loosing a lot of length. I have gotten so used to bunning that now I rarely have the urge to try anything else. So even with my hair semi-straight from the roller-set I am still throwing it up in a bun every morning. Maybe I will do some braids or cornrows for next week - if I can find a style and the time to do it.
I am still oiling my scalp with the Castor oil - I love the feeling. All the dryness is gone - even after co-washing. I just may keep doing this every so often after the challenge is over.

Glad the castor oil is helping you. I haven't really noticed a significant difference as of yet.

I haven't had the bald dream but I surely had the dream where I went to the salon for a trim and they put a relaxer in my hair!! *GASP*


You know I woke up checking to see if my hair was straight

This was why I was transitioning and it scared me so much ....

Hi Tia ... your hubby knows just the right thing to say ... smart guy

Today I am rocking the Southern Tease bun. I don't know how much of a protective style this is for me because my bun is so big that the bottom of the bun is rubbing against the top of my sweater. Maybe I should place it higher but I feel like it would look crazy.

This cold dry air is driving me bananas. I can't wear my hair out, my skin hurts, and my eyes are constantly tearing up. C'mon Spring!!!!! I need you!
