Aloe Hair Gel
I'm thinking of adding xanthan gum and guar gum to regular FOTE aloe vera gel to make a thicker gel with a stronger hold for my twists. If I do this, would I also need to add a preservative, or are the presevatives that are already in the FOTE enough? Would I need to refrigerate this mix?
I'm trying to make a gel that doesn't need to be refrigerated and generally has a longer shelf-life than most homemade gel recipes I see online, so if anyone has any other advice, you're welcome to share it.

Re: Aloe Hair Gel
I haven't worked with xanthan gum but I have used FOTE in other mixtures without using extra preservatives and the mixes seem to have held up fine
