Your name is Desiree! My name is Desiree!!

Ok, sorry, I got a little excited there. It depends on what you are comfortable with. Some people co wash everyday and others only do it once a week.

^^ I agree. I guess it really depends on what your hair can handle. If I could I would co wash everyday because my hair loves the water but I hate feeling like I'm over doing it & sometimes there just isn't time lol

There's also the manipulation factor ... over-manipulation can result in more risk of breakage

I don't co-wash everyday...my hair is pretty happy if I can get water in it everyday, even if it's just from a spray bottle.

I co-wash everyday... it's just easier for me with a TWA. My hair loves it, it actually get's picky with me if I don't cowash, however jcanalena79 is right with the manipulation factor, it can lead to unecessary shedding I've found. So I finger deangle and shake to dry, rake through some leave in then go on with my life. lol

I used to cowash everyday with no problem. My hair actually thrives when I cowash daily. Now I do it every other day or every two days. I just spritz it on the days that I dont cowash, fluff it and go.

I co-washed daily early on after my BC! not so much now and I never had a problem. I think the key is knowing what YOUR hair wants/needs. Before the twist challenge, I would co-wash only if I felt buildup. HTH

I cowashed every day during the summer of my BC. My hair seemed pleased.

I co wash once a week, twice if i feel like i have build up in my hair or if i have some uncontrollable itchy scalp. but daily spitz of my water and EO concoction does the trick for my tresses.

In the summer, I co-wash maybe three times a week. Otherwise I will splash water on my hair in the shower on the days that I don't co-wash and both work for me. That is also what I do in the winter, because my hair is easier to work with when it's a little damp.

Thanks ladies. I have been cowashing every Wednesday and Sunday. I just noticed that i seem to hold a style better the day after my hair has been washed. I guess i will find a routine at some point.

I cowash just about every day. If I feel product build up, I'll shampoo, but that's about once a week and I'm using an all natural, non-sulfate shampoo. I haven't noticed any unusual shedding and absolutely no breakage. I've only managed to go without a wash or cowash maybe three times in the year I've been natural...my hair doesn't do well dirty.

Don't settle on a specific number of cowashes until you know what works for YOU.

I'm glad I saw this because I was wondering the same exact thing. I co-wash every/everyother day, depends on my mood and how my hair feels. It seems like it acts better after being freshly washed. I have hardly any shedding and no breakage what so ever because I check my shed hair to make sure the bulb is there.

I co-washed right after BC last year everyday. Now that its getting warmer, I may try that again. Or at least every other day.
