Green Tea
So I see that green tea is great for hair...that's wonderful...but what do I use it in so I can put in my hair?! lol
I know it can be used in henna treatments..but I've never done henna..i'm scared to try it because I don't want to change the color of my hair.
so how else can I use green tea in my hair?

Re: Green Tea
I make a strong tea spritz and use it instead of water in my leave in conditioners, refresh my curls, moisturize my hair (in general). Basically, instead of using water, I will use green tea.
Re: Green Tea
i use it as a spritz as well and i add rosemary to it and sometimes tea tree

Use Cassia if you don't want to henna http://butters-n-bars.com/bundlesandadd_ins.html. You get the same benefits of hennaing without the color. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Green Tea
Not hair related, but I use it has a facial toner (great antioxidant). My esthetician told me to boil a bag of green tea in 1 oz of water put it in spray bottle to use before I put on my moisturizer. I've been doing it for two weeks now and it has been wonderful.

Re: Green Tea
I just purchased some rosewater and witch hazel to use as a toner. I may try the green tea also. Are you sure it is one ounce of water?TMS wrote:Not hair related, but I use it has a facial toner (great antioxidant). Thanks! I was walking the beach in Barbados while hubby was jetskiing. That hair style was borrowed from the tour director in Dominica.sweetdrk1 wrote:I learn so much on this forum, thank you ladies!!

Re: Green Tea
@Chrs - It is one cup of water, not an ounce. Good catch! Please let me know if you like the rosewater and witch hazel or green tea.
@AfrikanLatina - You are welcome.

Re: Green Tea
Hmmm I'm going to try mixing it with some leave in and a bit of grapeseed oil for a curl refresher.

Re: Green Tea
y'all about to have me in here making hair spritz LOL. I just read on the CN main site that green tea is good for hair. I never thought to use it in my hair since I made my first leave in mix. but I soon forgot about it once I started ordering Oyin's Greg Juice.I do enjoy drinking green tea without sugar.it's very refreshing, besides it being very good for your body. I might mix green tea with peppermint oil and a little tea tree oil to see how that works. thanks ladies!
