WOW!! This is really sad. I agree, this must be considered some type of abuse.

3c, 3c, 3c! Girl, I thought the exact same thing! I would have had to reach out and touch someone (and not in a good way). That hurt my soul to see that little girl like that. I have a 3 year old daughter and I would never do anything to harm her (or allow anyone else to either) especially when her trust in me is so important to me. She trusts me to keep her safe, so why would I do something like relax her hair with chemicals?
I also have a 14 month old daughter and I couldn't imagine relaxing her hair at 9 months!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] That is a baby! And then in the video you see the mother standing there looking foolish in the face! Some black women you just want to slap them smart (as oppose to being slapped stupid I guess). Oooo that burns me up to see that and as much as I love children too! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I saw this video a few days ago and it still sickens me. I agree that it is tantamount to child abuse. Relaxers damage the hair of grown women. Can you imagine what they can do to a growing child? Actually, since the back of the baby's head is fuzz, there is hope that it can grow back, provided that it's left alone. If it were completely bald, I'd be more worried. Some people ::smdh::

I actually feel physically ill right now. Ignorance is a b*tch man... b/c no one in their right mind would do that to a child. And I'm with alot of you, I'm not even sure how it is logistically possible to relax a 9 month old's hair. They can't stay still, they can't properly follow direction (such as don't put your hand in your hair), they can't communicate if it's burning or when it starts to tingle, and how the heck do you wash it out???? Sick to my stomach.
