Oh my God! That's a baby. I almost want to say that it's abuse when you put chemicals as strong as a relaxer on a baby's head.

Agreed, this is abuse, but now I'm interested in knowing if this is a first. I've never heard of a baby this young receiving a relaxer, which makes me wonder who in their right mind thought this was a great idea unless they've done it before.

Exactly! I cant even wrap my mind around relaxing a 10 year's old head, let alone a 9 month old.

I mean logistically it just seems impossible! There really is no way to keep a 9 month old still enough to put the relaxer in! I'm recalling my daughter @ 9 months and she would have been wriggling, hands in hair, then in mouth. Too disgusting to even think about. And how do you rinse it? In the bathtub? So this baby was sitting in relaxer water? Had relaxer water running in her eyes? Sickens my stomach to think about it

Whats even sadder is when parents know that these chemicals are taking their childrens hair out but continue to relax because they do not want to take the time out with learning how to care for it naturally. At least this is the response that parents have given me. It is truly sad.. Her scalp was by the looks of it very irritated.. smh**

Someone tell me what a baby's head full of peach fuzz needs a relaxer for?? Maybe not all baby's hair is the same but I've never met a baby under 1 year who didn't still have the soft hair, and it's still cute to put in a headband and go. This is very sad, I just can't believe what I saw.

It doesn't even just look like damaged hair...something is wrong with this babys scalp now. This is absolutely ridiculous.

This is just awful. I am shocked and appalled. I am concerned it may not grow back. Do people not realize these perms can cause PERMANENT damage. Won't that be ashamed if this little girl has to grow up with no hair as a result of poor decisions from her parent. Smh. Smh. Just Smh.
