Natural Hair Loss
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This is my 3rd time being natural... I am loving it just like all the other times. In the last couple of weeks I have noticed that I have developed a "bald" spot on my head. I normally would wear a wash and go with a head band pulling my TWA back and the spot has developed along the line of were my headband usually rest on the top of my head. Above is a picture of what I am speaking of. (took with my cell so it is not so good) I wash or wet my hair several times a week and I use the Bee Mine shampoo and conditioner along with the scalp and hair moisturizer. I also had been using ShidaNaturals oil. I don't know if the hair is going to grow back there or not but the spot is pretty smooth and has no signs of stubble from hair growth... I am hoping that this doesn't happen anywhere else in my head because I don't know if I would be able to take finding another spot like this.
Any suggestions on what I should do PLEASE let me know... My next step is a dermatologist but in my area there are few and it usually takes 3 - 4 months to get an appointment...

Re: Natural Hair Loss
I am sorry this is happening to you. It could be from continuously wearing your headband in that spot. I know I am very conscious of that to avoid those situations. Maybe you could switch it up so not so much tension is there. HTH!

Buttercup76, what oils do you have in your home?
I would like to suggest mixing a few oils if you already have them and don't have to expense yourself. Mix a small portion of Unrefined shea butter, Black Jamaican castor oil, coconut and olive oil and massage that spot in the night before you go to bed and in the morning when you style your hair. Re: Natural Hair Loss
Try using essential oils (EO) like:
Rosemary oil-stimulate growth, antiseptic, good for dandruff, excellent for shine on dark colored hair.
peppermint oil-helps to stimulate blood flow to the root of the hair.
tea tree-works to purify the scalp.
basil-promotes growth by stimulating circulation
eucalyptus-stimalte blood flow to the hair roots, antiseptic contains antibacterial and antifungal compunds.
Vitamin E-helps with scalp circulation.
You will have to mix the EO with a carrier oil (CO)
1 drop of EO per 4 table spoons of CO.
Hope this helps [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
