Moistture is not the problem, I think i am wanting a curl and my hair just wont do it.

Re: RoseBud's Curl Street Journal
Hey, When I first did my BC, for about a month I followed MC's recommendation for keeping it moist. I co-washed daily with an extremly moisturizing conditioner...i.e. Gairnier Fructise Moisture Works....left a little condish in and sealed with almond and jojoba oil. After about a month of this I could go 2-3days without cowashing and now, at 4 months natural, I can go 4-5days without moisturining and up to 2wks without co-washing. So, I think the method works.
Another thing you can try is Cantu Sheabutter Leave-in condish. It is at Walmart for $5. Apply this then seal with an oil. It is very moisturizing. At one point I tried a product with olive oil in it. My hair hates olive oil and I knew it, but I was curious to see what would happen. The next morning I woke up looking like a dried up Don King. So, I co-washed and applied the Cantu Sheabutter Leave-in and it was like an emergent revitaliztion!!!!!! My hair bounced back so fast and was moist for days. It is one of my staples that I use 1/month just to make sure I stay moisturized. And if you are looking for a curl, Cantu is very good at defining the curls you have.

"It's only been a week" This is a process that takes time. I have been natural for years and as of 2008/2009 I finally found what my hair likes. I started wearing my hair in its curly state in 2005. So it took me quite a while to figure it out. It will come with time.
Had you worked with your natural curl pattern before now?

Your last relaxer was only two months ago. You are gonna have to be patience. Check out MahoganyCurls videos. She started out just like you. You will see she didnt start seeing her curls for a couple of months.
Just be patience, the curls will come.

Dang, she has a lot of hair for a 14 month old! I have a 15 month old baby girl and her ponytails (when she lets me do them) are nowhere near that long. Go 'head Z!
Re: RoseBud's Curl Street Journal
and lt me tell you her hair is something strange too. Its soft like cotton, it only stays pretty for ummmm about an hour. Whats your baby's name?

India...she won't let me do much to her hair. I moisturize add a little oil and that's it. She runs when she sees the comb!

Lol Happy friday rose. You two are funny. Greys really arnt that bad to me. There is this woman at the gym and she has like a streak of grey hair and then the rest is jet black. I think its so cute. Embrace yo greys your so beautiful.
Re: RoseBud's Curl Street Journal
I have two gray strands. They have a mind of their own too. I was tempted to pluck it but there's an old saying that if you pluck it, then a few more gray strands will grow in so I just let them do what they do.

Yes, she is right. It took a few months for my curls to show up. I had short prickly hair for the longest! (Or so it seem)...It will grow, patience is the key! Beautiful baby girl!
