I want to try the style challenge but I am little nervous about it, the style itself is not my steelo (can I still use that word, lol) but I might like it

havent figured it out yet. im still in the stage where I have to do my hair everyday and its a busy weekend so i'm trying to find a style where i can wear and look decent for the whole weekend.

i believe i'll be cowashing my hair tomorrow night or friday, bantu knots for Saturday (brother's 40th surprise bday that night) then will do a bantu knot out for Sunday (going to church with the GF family..eek!... and its mom in law bday.)

I finally bought some virgin coconut oil from whole foods yesterday! i want to see how it works with my hair. I did mix some coconut oil and shea butter together so i want to see how that works
----------------
i do have a question though. you all talk about putting oils in your concoctions and in your hair. the coconut/shea butter mix is not a good smell.. i was wondering what oils smell good and what can i put in it to smell better and also where do you get the oils at?? My sister in law was saying sweet almond oil but i don't know where to get it from.

Friday is wash night with my neem, shikakai, and henna paste. I'll rinse with a VO5 moisture milk, condition with Aubrey Organics White Camellia, and maybe start twisting.

No, I just buy a box from my local Indian grocer and add a tablespoon or so to the mix; it destroys dandruff Smile

I made my first whipped shea butter concoction this weekend. It came out great. For fragrance, I used an orange essential oil. I got it from a local health store. The essential oils are super concentrated and come in different fragrances. Try looking through the phone book for local health stores.

I'm actually "steaming" my hair now with a conditioner on it of suave humectant aphrogee 2 min reconstructor and jojoba oil. After I plan to rinse and seal with cold water and probably roll it and let it air dry!

I plan on doing my hair in the morning. I'm contemplating a Braid N Curl, we'll see. If not will be a TNC. I will co-wash with my Aussie Moist, DC with AOHSR & style with a lil HETT, GF Sleek & Shine & Coconut Oil.

I'll be cleaning this itchy scalp this weekend and refreshing my twists. And trying out a new concoction to keep the itchies away!
